Natural disasters in terms of the earthquake in Lombok Utara in 2018 haveseverely devastated social-economic sectors. Although a small part (agriculture) takes benefits of improving the high wage of workers, it is widely left traumatic for locals and children. This research, however, broadens our understanding of how the earthquake in Lombok Utara impacted social-economic and its restoration image of tourism among Moslem dan Hindus society after the disaster. It also focuses on revealing the efforts of post-discovery. A case study was applied with the area of Lombok Utara Regency as a place of research. Data collected utilized an interactive model by Miles and Huberman in which four steps of collecting data (collecting, reducing, displaying, and drawing a conclusion) were its typical analysis. Instruments to use were both participative observation and in-depth interviews with local survivors, a related official government, and tourism players. In terms of economic downturn, a declining number of visits affected hotel occupancy at most, the ruin of tourism infrastructures and thousands of homes led to massive layoff as a consequence of social. Several post-discovery activities both short-term and long-term are intensively discussed. |
