This chapter focuses on strategies for developing sustainable research practices and thriving collaborations for feminist research within a lab. We draw upon our experiences as feminist psychologists at research-intensive institutions and discuss best practices for building a feminist lab culture. We address the following: establishing a vision, starting the lab, mentoring students while meeting pre-tenure goals, creating space for collegiality and collaboration, and sustaining oneself as a feminist academic. Throughout, we provide practical strategies toward productivity and sustainability for the feminist psychologist on their way to tenure. |
