Popis: This article explores the legal regime of collective redress in Latin American comparative law, specifically Chile and Mexico. On this sense, it does present a survey on the relevant doctrinal sources which have identified collective redress’ strenghts and weakneses. Also, the American class actions’ system is explained, given that it was in the U.S. where collective litigation was created. Once both Chilean and Mexican systems are studied, it is possible to assert that such are framed within a Western legal trend for limitig the scope of these procedural instruments.Summary:Introduction.
