Popis: | This paper reports on aspects of the performance of three operational deployments of Dedicated Short Range Communication (DSRC) equipment. Performance metrics considered include throughput, latency, and the characteristics of the packet loss process. A laboratory deployment is used to establish a performance baseline for operation under ideal network conditions. Vehicle to infrastructure and vehicle to vehicle deployments are then used to evaluate the effects of real world deployments. The impact of degraded performance upon a Cooperative Adaptive Cruise Control (CACC) application is evaluated. |
