Popis: | Manganese-doped zinc silicate (Zn 2 SiO 4 :Mn) is a kind of phosphor material that has a photo-luminescent (PL) and cathode-luminescent (CL) properties with intensive green light emission at 520 nm. The particles consisting of SiO 2 @Zn 2 SiO 4 :Mn (SiO 2 core–Zn 2 SiO 4 :Mn shell) were synthesized via colloidal process and forced precipitation. After drying, the Zn/Mn precipitates were coated on the surface of SiO 2 particles. The Zn/Mn precipitates reacted with SiO 2 and transformed to Zn 2 SiO 4 :Mn by suitable calcination. The microstructure, crystalline phase, and luminescent characteristics of the products were studied. Besides, a CL device consisting of the core–shell powder was characterized. |
