Popis: | Successful and competent school librarians are not only managers of the school libraries' daily operations, they are also educators, administrators, teaching consultants, facilitators, servant leaders, homework and student project coordinators and much more. They are without doubt ‘unsung heroes’ of information literacy, pedagogy, voluntary reading, curriculum development, student homework and project coordination, classroom-library partnership, extracurricular / recreational collaboration, etc. In the following face-to-face interview, three diversely skilled school librarians from distinctive cultural and professional backgrounds – discuss the joy and challenges in taking a more proactive approach in meeting the information, reading and recreational needs of the whole school community – in the Hong Kong education context. |
