In this paper, a G-band sine waveguide travelling wave tube (SWGTWT) is designed. Sinusoidal H-plane loading is incorporated to enhance the interaction impedance of the structure. Various cold circuit parameters are estimated by analyzing a single period of the structure with periodic boundary condition. Input and output coupler are designed to minimize the reflection from the structure. Particle-in-cell (PIC) simulation is carried out to compute beam wave interaction. The simulation predicts more than 58 W of output power at 220 GHz. The gain and electronic efficiency are estimated to be 31.1 dB and 3.27%, respectively |
