Popis: A 38-year-old man was seen at the hospital because of naval redness and pain. Although surgical drainage and oral administration of cefotiam were performed under a diagnosis of omphalitis, these symptoms became worse. A cystic structure below the naval was identified by abdominal CT and echography. Moreover, ileus developed to require insertion of an ileus tube, but any sites of bowel obstruction were not revealed. Operation was carried out for a suspicion of ileus due to navel deformity. A cyst below the navel was found to be included in a cord connecting to the bladder, which was strongly adhered to the circumference tissues. The navel and the cyst were resected as en bloc with the small intestine and a part of the transverse mesocolon which could not be ablated, under the operative diagnosis of adhesional ileus due to suppurative urachal cyst. The cord was resected as near the bladder as possible. The postoperative clinical course was favorable.
