HYDRIDE FORMATION OF C14-TYPE Ti ALLOY

Popis: Hydriding properties of TiCr 2 based C14-type quaternary alloy system: Ti 1-x Zr x Cr 2-y Mn y with 0≤x≤0.5 and 0≤y≤2.0 were investigated. Thermodynamic function, ΔH and ΔS were determined by P – X – T method. The maximum hydrogen contents was H/M ∼ 1. The plateau pressure was changed with composition, and controlled mainly Zr content x. The results were compared with semiquantitative modelof Miedema et al. The hydride which covers pressure range up to 20 kgr/cm 2 at room temperature with acceptable plateau-shape was obtained.
