C Results: The overall prevalence of HRT was 23.1 %. Estrogens only i were prescribed for 8.2%, sequential HRT for 5.7%, continuous combinations for 3.6%, and progestagens only for 0.7% of women. The prevalence for the companies TK and AOK was 31.7 % and t 21.2%, respectively. The highest prevalence of HRT was in women r aged 50 - 59 years (58.3% and 41 %, respectively). Conclusions: The prevalence of HRT is high. Because the data reflect only current users, the proportion of ever users will be higher. These data underscore the need for epidemiologic studies to clarify the risks and benefits of long-term HRT.
