Popis: CHO cells are widely used for recombinant protein production. CHO-320 cells have been genetically modified to produce human gamma interferon (hu IFN-γ). If serum free cultivation increases production biosafety, secreted proteins are nowhere exposed to extracellular proteolytic degradation which may contribute to product heterogeneity. Among numerous peptidases, matrix metallopeptidases (MMPs) are extracellular endopeptidases containing a zinc atom in the catalytic site, which are involved in the degradation of the extracellular matrix during tissue remodelling but also in metastatic and angiogenic processes.
