A new space-borne intensity interferometer is discussed in this article. By the virtue of the statistical correlations concerning the fluctuations of photon differential flux due to a large variety of transient astrophysical radiation. Intensity interferometry is able to be used as a promising imaging technique, which is not being restricted by diffraction in optical systems to achieve µas angular resolution. In this contribution, we present a design of telescope array via spacecraft formation flying. An individual telescope consists of an off-axis three-mirror system, Silicon Photomultipliers (SiPM) detectors and electronic trigger systems. The challenge is of high order mutual intensity interfering between sparse apertures under u-v spatial frequency coverage in principle. We optimized the optical performance of SiC mirrors and SiPM light concentrators for intensity interferometry. |
