Popis: | In this paper, the biosynthesis of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) was carried out from 4 different extracellular filtrates (EF): Extracellular Filtrate Czapek (EFC), Extracellular Filtrate Malt Dextrose (EFMD), Extracellular Filtrate Potato Dextrose (EFPD), and Extracellular Filtrate Saccharose (EFS). AuNPs were evaluated as anodes in paper-based microfluidic fuel cells for the oxidation of glucose in blood. In an innovative way and with the aim of having a more realistic application approach, the devices were tested with two different types of blood: one blood with glucose levels in the normal range and the other with glucose levels in the diabetes range. The power densities obtained for these kinds of blood were 0.54 and 0.85 mW cm-2, respectively. |
