Popis:	Thermal lens modeling in a microchip Nd:YAG laser is presented. We found that the position and strength of effective thermal lensing depend on pump focusing condition. This can be used as an additional degree of freedom to optimize high power operation of lasers pumped by a highly diverging beam.
