Simulation and Experimental Studies about Proper Electrodes of an Organic Thin Film Transistor

Popis: The aim of this work is to select the proper electrode materials for organic thin film transistors (OTFT). The electrodes are crucial both for Pentacene-OTFT or transistors with other semiconductors without toxic precursors. In this scope, the paper is developed on two directions: (i) simulation of OTFT, starting from a fabricated Pentacene transistor, able to match the simulated characteristics with the experimental characteristics and (ii) experimental tests on an organic transistor with silver electrodes for source and drain and para-amino-benzoic acid coupled to ferrite nano-core-shell as active organic layer. The experimental material is silver for electrodes. Further improvements are expected by gold and other materials with optimal workfunction.
