Popis: | Experimental data are presented which indicate that the explosion energy of fused-quartz flashlamps is significantly higher for those lamps which have predominately compressive stresses at the surface of the lamp envelope. Techniques for increasing the mechanical strength of a flashlamp are suggested. |
