Popis: | Processor power consumption is one of the main limiting factors in smartphone performance. Its form factor allows for measuring consumption of the entire device but not easy access to individual power rails (including CPU) while keeping the phone fully functional. This paper is describing a method to replace the need to measure consumption on individual components in modern smartphones, difficult due to form factor restrictions, by isolating the CPU consumption using software configuration and only making entire system measurements, with experiments performed on a modern Android smartphone. |
