Popis: | Low haemocompatibility of currently used cardiovascular stents causes a high risk of restenosis of dilated arterial blood vessels. In order to reduce thrombogenicity stents were coated with amorphous silicon carbide using the PECVD technique. After optimization of adhesion using HF and DC technique the silicon carbide coated stent shows a reduced thrombogenicity after implantation in the carotid of a pig for 90 minutes. > |
