Popis: The focus of this chapter is on the textile – coloured wastewater management and high levels of sustainability achievable when going beyond the termed ‘legal requirements’, through a case study of MAS Holdings, a Sri Lankan organisation that takes sustainability and protection of the environment to the heart of its business. The extensive investment in both research and advanced equipment has supported achievement of broader aims of sustainability. This chapter describes the issues and challenges related to coloured wastewater management after the fabric coloration process. How water is reclaimed back to the best discharge water quality, then the research and trials to tackle the problem of separated solid wastes as sludge, which traditionally goes to landfill sites in the region. We additionally track the journey of the development with novel concepts and approaches of sustainable processes and equipment leading to successful zero solid waste to landfill and useful eco products development.
