Popis: | Two-dimensional electron systems supporting plasmons may be used for detection and generation of terahertz radiation. Such devices are often made of multiple sections two-dimensional waveguides with different electron densities or chemical potentials [1, 2]. The junction formed by two different waveguides, Fig. 1(a), will scatter a plasmon incident upon it, establishing the frequency response of the device. |
