In this paper are analysed the particularities of water resources monitoring at the level of development regions, hydrographic districts and aquifer horizons. The history of surface and groundwater resources monitoring in the Republic of Moldova is reviewed. The spatial distribution of monitoring stations and boreholes is also evaluated, highlighting regions where they are insufficient. The paper also contains a SWOT analysis of water resources monitoring in the Republic of Moldova, highlighting threats and opportunities for its development. |
