A law is a rule of conduct or action prescribed or formally recognized as binding or enforced by a controlling authority. The laws dealing with food, drugs, and cosmetics are passed by the US Congress and signed by the president. Various regulatory requirements and guidelines for yogurt in the United States, European Union, and Australia–New Zealand, covered along with Codex Alimentarius, are considered in this chapter. |
