Popis: Semi-empirical methods are proposed for calculation of the average settlements and tilts of large-dimension foundations for reactor compartments at nuclear power plants. The working diagram of a half-space is used with a conditional restriction placed on the compressible stratum. In the first case, correspondence is achieved between field and prediction by the introduction of an empirical reducing factor to the equation cited in Construction Rule and Regulation 2.02.01-83, and in the second case, by replacing the working diagram of an absolutely rigid by an absolutely flexible foundation.
