Popis: The efficient combining of silicate concrete and polyester polymer concrete, the latter characterized by higher mechanical strength and chemical resistance, requires good adhesion between the two components. The problems arise from the fact that one of them (the silicate) is hydrophilic, while the other is hydrophobic. In order to achieve compatibility, several polyester-silicate compositions have been proposed, which lead to an adaptive, adhesive bond in the combined constructions. The paper presents an investigation of the dynamics of hardening of the adaptive compositions containing hydrophilized unsaturated polyester resin and grout, depending on the molar ratio between the hydrophilizing agent and the unsaturated polyester. It has been established that the compositions are reactive. The increase of the percentage of the hydrophilizing material results in the increase of the gel period and the exothermy of the process of hardening.
