Popis:	Summary Extensive modification of bovine serum albumin (BSA) by guanidination, amidination, or by succinylation and amidination resulted in a protein antigenic to rabbits. The introduced groups created new antigenic patches which incorporated parts of the carrier protein without greatly impairing the already existing antigenic determinants on BSA. Antibodies produced against modified BSA had no specificity against the introduced groups if they were attached to another carrier protein (e.g., ovalbumin). The antibodies produced were of IgG type in early and late immunization and were separated into distinct specificities by absorption.
