Popis: The Geomix method is a cost effective solution for the rapid construction of retaining and cut-off walls. The equipment, issued from diaphragm wall cutter technology, consists of cutting and mixing rotating tools mounted on compact hydraulic motors. In this article, the method and its recent technical improvements are first described Design principles for temporary retaining walls are then precised. This paper discusses the dispersions of soil mix strengths from different retaining wall cases. A statistical analysis on observed distributions is then presented in order to relate on-site values to design criteria.
