Popis: A new experimental investigation of the Richtmyer-Meshkov instability in a cylindrical geometry was conducted in the light/heavy configuration using a conventional shock tube equipped with a new specifically designed three-zone He/air/SF6 convergent test section. The first experimental results show the expected phases of the Richtmyer-Meshkov instability development.
