Popis: | New compounds, based on the interpenetrating double layers found in oxo-vanadium (IV) formate monohydrate, VO(HCO2)2 · H2O, have been synthesized. Ligand water is replaced by formic acid in VO(HCO2)2 · HCO2H, or by interlayer bridging fluoride with additional (NH4 or K) cations in [VO(HCO2)2]2 · NH4F · NH4OH, [VO(HCO2)2]2 · KF · NH4OH, and [VO(HCO2)2]2 · KF · 1 2 KOH. Indexed XRPD for the layer compounds and vibrational (IR and Raman) data including those for the related chain polymer K2VO(HCO2)2 are given. Parallels are drawn with the lamellar phase vanadyl phosphates and arsenates. |
