DC microgrid cluster plays an important role for efficient operation and coordinated power sharing between multiple DC microgrids. A non-isolated DC-DC bidirectional cluster converter is introduced for interconnecting DC microgrids. The proposed system architecture and control scheme is used for power sharing amongst three microgrids of different voltage level. The proposed power control algorithm identifies excess and deficiency of power in each microgrid and accordingly provides control signal to cluster converter. The cluster converter provides a coordinated control to maintain voltage level of microgrids while sharing the power between them. The operation of proposed cluster converter is verified in MATLAB under various operating conditions. |
