The maximum effective uniaxial stretch ratio in stretching an ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer is attained when the deformation is clearly not uniform and is accompanied by a change in both the microfibrillar and the microporoUSA structure. The plots of the maximum stretch ratio and the longitudinal crystalline size in specimens subjected to the maximum degree of stretching against the stretching temperature in the region of 20–125 °C is extremal in character with a maximum at about 80 °C. |
