In the narration in the Hnahnu language presented here we learn the story about two little girls (the narrator herself and her younger sister) who in two occasions ran into some money while they were walking by a whortleberry cactus (Myrtillocactus geometrizans). In both occasions, their grandparents tell them that that buried treasure used to be their great-great-grandparents’, and that it had been revealed to the girls by those ancestors. The original text in Hnahnu is presented together with a translation to Spanish, a translation to English, and an interlinear version with morphological glosses |
