Popis: Perfectionism is a multidimensional construct, where adaptive and maladaptive dimensions are included. Researchers have been tried to explore this phenomenon in many different studies to find those dimensions and highlight a subdimensions. Perfectionism has been conceptualized as a striving for flawnessness, setting too high personal standards, perceiving every kind of mistake as a failure and also it is overgeneralization of the importance of those failures. Maladaptive form of perfectionism could lead to various maladjustments. In previous studies, among the studends, researchers found significant effect between perfectionism and perceived stress, and in this study tested aditionally mediating role of fear of negative evaluation between two dimensions (adaptive and maladaptive) of perfectionism and perceived stress. The present study aimed to assess not only the direct relationship between perfectionism (i.e., adaptive and maladaptive perfectionism), fear of negative evaluation, and perceived stress, but also the mediating effect of fear of negative evaluation in the relationship between perfectionism and perceived stress.
