Popis: Clock synchronization plays a vital role in real time networked control system (NCS) based on time triggered communication. The paper provides simulation, implementation details and experimental validation of clock synchronization algorithm developed for a custom time triggered protocol known as Deterministic Fault-Tolerant Communication protocol (DFTCP). DFTCP is time triggered, deterministic, fault tolerant and provides fail silent communication suitable for use in real time NCS. We present the simulation results to verify convergence and fault tolerance. We show how the local time of all nodes converges to a single time base and a two node system can also be synchronized with a modification to the algorithm eliminating the criteria of minimum three nodes. The algorithm is validated using practical implementation also.
