| Popis: | The first total synthesis of (−)-goniofupyrone, isolated from Goniothalamus giganteus , was accomplished in a stereoselective manner from (+)-tricarbonyl(η 6 -2-trimethylsilylbenzaldehyde)-chromium(0) complex. This synthesis unambiguously established the relative and absolute stereochemistry of (−)-goniofupyrone. |
