Popis:	This article seeks to provide an alternative reading of Judge C.G. Weeramantry (1926–2017), former Judge and Vice-President of the International Court of Justice. Departing from the standard readings offered regarding his work, the article explores some of the deeper interests, prejudices and tensions that underlie Judge Weeramantry’s life and writings on international law as well as his less-explored writings on Sri Lanka.
