Popis: | The demonstration of inherent safety during design extension conditions is essential for the design of an SFR. In this study, a best estimate plus uncertainty approach is applied to the pump run-up test performed in EBR-II. The initial test condition was maintained at reduced power and flow, then the primary flow was increased to 100% and the reactor power increased due to the reactivity feedbacks. The test is simulated with the MARS-LMR code and the effects of uncertainty parameters on the power and reactivity are evaluated. Total 22 uncertainty parameters are selected and 124 different cases are calculated for uncertainty analysis. The measured power data are well covered by the 124 cases of simulations even though the early reactor power is slightly underestimated. It is found that the selected uncertainty ranges and distribution functions are appropriate and they are applicable to the best estimate analysis of pump run-up transient. |
