A digital NMR system, incorporating a microprocessor based control system, is described. The major components of the system are a dedicated controller, an RF amplifier, a digitally ramped signal generator and CAMAC modules for signal processing and output. Two microprocessor based CAMAC drivers are used for data acquisition, readout and display. The controller includes functions for system debugging and several control and display options are available during normal operation. A number is generated corresponding to the area of the NMR resonance curve, with appropriate background subtraction. Results obtained with this system in conjunction with the TRIUMF polarized target are presented. |
