Popis: | Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrine disorder in reproductive-aged women. It is typically characterized by hyperandrogenism, chronic anovulation, and the presence of polycystic ovaries. Dermatologic manifestations commonly encountered in women with PCOS include hirsutism, acne vulgaris, and androgenic alopecia or female hair loss. This chapter reviews the treatments for these clinical manifestations that are attributed to androgen excess in women with PCOS. |
