Popis:	Snoring is a common human ailment. Laser-assisted uvulopalatoplasty is an outpatient surgical procedure used for the treatment of snoring and sleep apnea. The uvula and soft palate are reduced and reshaped with the laser to increase the oropharyngeal airway size and reduce the vibratory soft tissue. Over the past 10 years, various surgical techniques have been described. The purpose of this article is to review the original description as well as the alternative laser-assisted uvulopalatopalasty surgical techniques being performed in the United States.
