Popis:	The change in the carbon content on the surface of Fe, Cu, Ni containing catalysts has been studied by X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) under different treatments. It has been concluded that the superficial carbon content affects the content of an active element,e.g. copper, on the catalyst surface.
