Popis:	When specifying a 3D acquisition system, the following considerations are particularly important: (i) the acquisition time should be reduced as much as possible in order to minimize the artefacts brought by natural tissue motion; (ii) in the same time the volume has to be correctly sampled; (iii) the additional benefits brought by 3D scanning are tightly related to the out-of-plane resolution. Note that the annular array wobbler is the only commercially available probe that allows out-of-plane track focussing; (iv) an utilization in a clinical place implies efficient and fast vizualisation tools.
