Popis:	Even though there are several electronic concepts that are either being offered or developed, there is yet to emerge realistic operational VSTOL low‐visibility instrument landing systems criteria, and associated electronic structures. The unique and precise slow‐flying characteristics of VSTOL aircraft should enable a lower visibility operation than the present fixed‐wing jet transport airplane permits. A brief analysis and operational guidelines arc presented of the VSTOL aircraft transition from instrument to visual flight at low approach decision altitudes and slant visibility range minimums.
