A method was developed for the determination of individual kinetic constants of an irreversible first order polymer-analogous reaction, involving a “neighbouring group” effect. The method is based on the minimalization of the sum of square deviations between experimental and computer generated kinetic data. The ambuguity of the method is demonstrated, and an algorithm is proposed generating all sets of constants corresponding to the experiment. The method is presented in the form of a FORTRAN program for the computer BESM-6. Depending on experimental accuracy, ranges are defined where the method yields unambiguous results. |
