Biomedical images are essential and important data about patients. So hospitals should have to keep & maintain diagnostic information in the form of images, which require a more space and transmission bandwidth to store the information. For achieving this Image compression becomes essential for storing large database Data transfer becomes easy for diagnosis because of Image compression. For this different image compression techniques are used till date. But to improve image quality and reducing errors, there is need of new techniques for compression of biomedical images. |
