Basinet's principle, and the low-angle scattering of X-rays by porous glasses

Popis: 1. The scattering intensities of specimens having the “direct” and “reverse” structures coincide precisely as far as the terms determining the zero-angle scattering: on the basis of the diffraction photograph it is impossible to make a choice between the two structures. 2. By the artificial enlargement of pores in specimens of porous glasses and calculation of the radii of the region of inhomogeneity that account for the scattering of X-rays at los angles, it has been shown that such a method determines the radii of the pores, and not of the particles.
