Popis:	The potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of health is immense and has been the subject from the very beginning of the discipline of significant work since the beginning of the 20th century. The 1970s saw an explosion in the scientific community’s interest in biomedical applications helped by the provision of distributed computing resources such as SUMEX-AIM (Stanford University Medical Experimental Computer for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine) from Stanford University and Rutgers University. Among the first practical applications to be identified was the MYCIN project.
