Popis: The BLM proposes emplacement of temporary wild horse-watering troughs at three springs in the south portion of the Cactus Range, Nellis Air Force Range (NAFR), Nye County, Nevada. In the Bureau of Land Management (BLM)-drafted Environmental Assessment NV-052-98-009, the agency states that the three springs, Cactus Springs, Stealth Spring, and Sleeping Column Seep, were chosen because data gathering underway suggests residual [wild horse] use of vegetation and water use in the Cactus Range. It is further stated that BLM feels that the horses that minimally exploit these springs would be caused stress and discomfort if their water sources were relocated.
