Popis: | Ionic Fe, Cu, Pb, and Zn, adsorbed on clay or ferric hydroxide, were separated from a saline culture of Desulfovibrio by agar gel. Metals were partially desorbed and deposited in agar as bands of sulfide. Adsorption, desorption, and sulfide precipitation are all suggested concentration and separating mechanisms that could be effective wherever metals adsorbed in fresh-water environments are brought into a saline reducing environment. |
