Northampton Museum houses a collection of 124 quernstones which are thought to have come from the Iron Age hillfort. The querns exhibit a wide variety of forms, and they have been divided into ten broad lithological groups: as a collection from a single site they are quite possibly unique for the wide range of rock types present and forms represented. They indicate clearly that Hunsbury was a site of importance with wide-ranging contacts, from Derbyshire and Lincolnshire in the north, to Kent and Sussex in the south.
