Is pretended to implement a prototype system to help professionals in health and rehabilitation areas, in the diagnostic of pathologies associated to the flexor — extension of the lower limb. The device is composed of a leg brace for the sensing system support and its data acquisition. The data is acquired initially by an Arduino platform, then, it is sent to a computer, to its manipulation and presentation, through the HMI implementation under LabVIEW software. The data is store in a table, for statistic graphics creation that enable to the health professional, analyze and decide the degree of injury, allowing to emit a more precise diagnosis and design the more convenient rehabilitation plan to the patient. The importance lies in which it is going to be given to the health professional a tool that facilitates and optimize its labor performance, improving also the patient quality of life with pathologies associated to the flexor — extension of the lower limb. In the first stage, outlined in this document, the design and construction of an electromyograph for the acquisition of potential generated by the muscles of the leg was made, which will allow to identify the intensity and the degree of muscular activity, data that when comparing them with behavior of a healthy muscle, will allow to identify the degree of injury of the subject under study. |
